This is a course leading to LPI-102, a required exam for LPIC-1. It covers basic to intermediate skills for the Linux professional that are common to major distributions of Linux.
Linux administrators are expected to be in a position to take part 2 of the junior level certification (Exam 101), perform maintenance tasks with the command line, install & configure a workstation and be able to configure a basic network.

Passing LPIC 101 Linux System Administration I Exam; understand the structure of a Linux system; install and manage a Linux workstation, comprising X11 and structure it up as a network client; operate at the Linux command line which includes common GNU and Unix commands; handling files and admittance permissions as well as system security; complete easy maintenance tasks: assist users, backup and restore, add users to a larger system, shutdown, and reboot.
